Here at Nitro Mobile Solutions, we work hard and we play hard. Every once in a while, when the stars are aligned and luck is on our side, we?re able to do both at the same time. Well, we might want to buy lottery tickets because this week, we took our work to the racetrack.
Through our strategic partnership with Tampa Bay Technology Forum, we are sponsoring six events in 2014. One of these events is the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, held March 28-30.? The unique aspect of this particular event is that we were able to help TechStart Tampa Bay, TBTF?s nonprofit organization, to inspire at-risk youth through technology education.
Our sponsorship allowed students in the Automotive Technical Program at Pinellas Technical Education Center a behind-the-scenes look at the event site and a tour of the paddocks?before the Grand Prix opened to the public! As students toured the paddocks, they learned about the technology, engineering, science and math involved in racing on the track. Each student also received a free ticket to attend the Grand Prix the next day.
Our sponsorship also allowed us to invite local credit unions to the event, including the Pinellas Federal Credit Union, and several others. Union employees received VIP Grand Prix tickets, granting them access on to TechStart?s private yacht and in to the paddocks. Needless to say, we had a blast at the event and can?t wait for our future sponsorships!
