Exciting news here at the Nitro Tampa office, everyone! Drum roll, please!
We are proud to announce that Nitro Mobile Solutions is a semi-finalist in the running for the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce?s Small Business of the Year Awards!
We are competing against nine other Bay Area businesses in the 5-20 employees category. ?The award is presented to the small business that best represents Tampa?s small business community. Businesses must be nominated to enter the competition. They also must be headquartered in Tampa Bay, for-profit with 5-250 employees, and must have conducted business for at least three complete years.
Businesses in the competition are analyzed with five judging criteria:
- History and philosophy (ethical business practices)
- Management (business goals, planning)
- Operational management (personnel, profitability, administrative processes)
- Innovativeness and response to adversity/economic conditions/competition
- Leadership and community contributions
The first phase of the competition involved completing a detailed application, which highlighted our company?s history, adversities, management team, and other questions based upon the five criteria mentioned above. Moving into the second phase of the competition means that our CEO, Pete, will complete a 20-minute interview at the Chamber on Friday, June 20. The interview will cover what makes our company stand out amongst others in each of the five criteria.
We?d like to take a moment to say thank you to the Chamber Board Member who nominated us, Dean Kent of Trenam Kemker Attorneys. ?The entire Nitro team is beyond appreciative for the opportunity you have provided to us. We?d also like to say congratulations to the rest of the semi-finalists. This is quite an exciting time for all of us!
We are so thrilled and honored by our selection. We couldn?t be more proud to run our business out of the beautiful Bay Area. The final award will be delivered at the 34th annual SBOY Awards banquet on September 19. Click here for more information about the awards and keep your fingers crossed for us in the meantime!
